Paul Klee
Paul Klee: Venezia
Paul Klee : Venezia , watercolour and oil on canvas / 50 x 35 cm.

Klee creates in his fantasy the city of Venice and translates it in a graphic representation.

This isn't a representation of obsverved shapes, but of completely new shapes.

"The artist -Klee said- receives visible imagines from the outside world  and he transmittes invisible imagines from the interior".

The memory of gondola resurfaces in the painting with a shape that nobody has ever seen, between reality and abstraction.
